On February, 8th, 2012 Russian Football Union celebrates significant date. On this day exactly 20 years ago, began the modern history of the main football organizations in the country. In 1992 Moscow hosted the founding conference of the RFU which, after the collapse of the Soviet Union took over the management of football in Russia and received membership in FIFA and UEFA. At the international level, the RFU was officially recognized as the legal successor of the Football Federation of the Soviet Union and the All-Russian Football Union.
